Google Panda 4.0 has dropped, and this was about a week back.
I am only writing about it now because I was too busy figuring out what it’s effects were, on certain sites. The panda 4.0 should not have come as a surprise, because it’s been a long time coming. If you are following online marketing and the trends and all the updates, you would have known that it was on its way.
We just didn’t know when, or just huge an effect it would have.
We know the panda updates are meant to reward great sites that have great content to be more visible on the search engines, and of course bury the crappy sites in the SERP’s. Unfortunately, the panda is NOT perfect.
Even great sites can take a hit, and it has happened in the past, so now, it’s no wonder why a lot of webmasters who have done clean ups on their websites are wondering when they will recover, or when they will be rewarded for having great content on their sites.
Reading around the web, it is clear that some sites have been greatly rewarded by this panda 4.0 update, as they have seen great traffic spikes after the panda started rolling.
What has been clear so far, is that EBay took quite a hit, and then there are suggestions that press release sites may also have been hit.
Also, if you have a site, let us know how the panda affected you? Did you see an improvement or a negative effect? Or did things stay the same? We would love to hear from you.
