Protein Boost: 4 Ways To Increase Your Protein Intake

Are you one of the many people who are looking for that weigh loss success in 2019? If you are, then you should know that protein is an important part of the journey, and that you need to eat the right amount of protein to make that dream come true. Eating the right amount of protein is very important for your health,

Unfortunately, many people just do not eat enough protein and they wonder why they are not getting the lean mass muscles that they want.

So, here are:

Ways to boost your protein intake

1. Include egg-whites to your omelet

If you are one of those people who love an omelette to start off your day, then you have a great opportunity of adding more protein to your meal, by using egg whites. What you need to do is to swap your whole eggs with egg whites, and you will simply have more protein.

Of course I am not saying that you shouldn’t eat whole eggs at all, because there are still some goodies that you will get from them. But egg whites are a better source of protein.

2. Add protein powder into your oatmeal

Another great way to have more protein in your body is to add some into your oatmeal. As a result, you will have a better balanced breakfast. For an even better meal, that has the good fats that are important for a healthy body, you can add some chopped nuts in your meal. A spoon of peanut butter can also be used for this.

3. Eat canned tuna as a snack

Canned tuna also contains a good amount of protein, so you should definitely make it part of your meals. And the great thing is that it is ready-made. All you need to enjoy it, is to open it up and make sure that you drain the water/oil out. Eat it with some avocado and some salsa, and you will have eaten something good for your body.

4. Substitute rice with beans

Give yourself a break with the rice, and instead choose to eat beans. Beans are great, because they are a great source of carbohydrates, fiber and protein, so you end up getting even more health benefits. Do keep in mind, that beans do contain quite a bit of calories, so if eaten too much they can put some calories in your body.

Protein plays a role in the weight that you lose, so make sure you try to get the daily recommended protein. I am sure you have heard of people having a protein shake for breakfast or after a workout, this is great because not only is it filling, they are getting the Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) for protein, which is 50 grams per day.
